Setting up Hotlink Protection in cPanel Print

Hotlink Protection is the prevention of external source from directly linking content from your site to another site that can use your bandwidth to transfer files. To get started, follow the steps below

If you have not yet set up cPanel, Click Here to log in

 

Step 1: In your Tools menu, go down till you see Files. Within those options, click on "Backup Wizard"

Step 2: Hotlink Protection prevents your images from being used on their sites, it will also prevent bandwidth consumption by their links from connecting to your server. By blocking direct access to file extenstion of your choosing. Click [Enable] to activate

Step 3: You can configure by allowing the URLs to have access by adding them below

Step 4: You may also block direct access for the extensions that are inputed below

Step 5: Check the box if you want to allow direct access

Step 6: Enter the URL for the request to be redirected
